Report, paper with card covers and plastic spiral binding, Diesel and Electric Train Locomotives - National Traction Plan, by the British Railways Board, Feb. 1965, printed by British Railway Management Services Printing & Duplicating Centre, Swindon. Cover marked "Confidential (Not for Publication)." This report accompanied the National Traction Plan, which rationalised the number of diesel and electric types in service. It goes through every type of diesel and electric locomotive in service (excluding shunters), giving technical details, builder information, numbers etc., and data on availability and utilisation as at Sep./Oct. 1964. There are also comments on mechanical and operational features, the majority negative.
