Dux Kino Model 44 toy 35mm projector, made in Germany, c. 1957. Projector for 35mm film strip carrying two horizontal rows of cartoon pictures with alternate phases of motion. Projected alternately by oscillating shutter operated behind two projection lenses. Serial No 568 on base, trade mark in gold on top of projector body. With a paired condenser lens, two 3.5v bulbs powered by 4 1/2 volt battery. Clockwork drive. Dux-Fabrik Markes and Co, about 1957. With one film strip, Mickey and Pluto (1990-5036/2659/1).

The Model 44 toy projector uses special 35mm film strips that carry two horizontal rows of pictures with alternate phases of motion, the film is moved by a clockwork drive. The images are projected alternately by an oscillating shutter operating behind the two projection lenses. Serial No 568 on base, trade mark in gold on top of projector body. With a paired condenser lens, two 3.5v bulbs powered by 4 1/2 volt battery. Clockwork drive. Dux-Fabrik Markes and Co, about 1957.
