Urban Bioscope cine camera, No 198. Manufactured by Charles Urban Trading Company, 48 Rupert Street, Piccadilly, London W1. 300 foot magazines. Hand-cranked, with a fixed 180 degree sector shutter. The lens is a 70mm Collinear II, Serial No 80427, in a rack and pinion focussing mount. The camera has critical focussing though the rear of the film in the gate with an inspecting tube from the front. The cover for this is not original. It has a film speed indicator showing between 12 and 24 frames per second and a footage counter calibrated for 100 foot. Film punch inside. Possibly made by Darling, who made most of Urban's cameras.
