Whole model, scale 1:8, rigged, of a 'Ottering' or 'Stavaring' herring boat, with nets, floats and sinkers inside model, unsigned, Norway, 1800-1883. 'Ottering' or 'Stavaring' herring boats were used in the Norwegian herring fisheries from Trondheim northwards to Nordland.
