Whole model (scale 1:12) of a Scottish fishing boat named 'New Haven' (register No. 855 L.H.). The model represents one of the 'Baldies' formerly employed at Leith and Newhaven for small line fishing in the Firth of Forth. The further growth of the 'Baldie' produced the sea-going herring-boat so well known as the Scottish 'Fifie'. Scale 1:12

Whole rigged model, scale 1:24, of an Isle of Man fishing Lugger (register No. CT.122), by R Harrison, Castletown, Isle of Man, Isle of Man, 1875-1883. The model represents a Castletown boat. She is typical of the Manx Fishing Luggers except for her round counter stern. The crew normally consisted of five men.

Model, scale 1:24, rigged, of the line and net fishing boat ‘Rob Roy’, by Gifford and Co., Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland, 1882. This early steam fishing-boat was built at Leith for line and net fishing. She was constructed of wood but had an iron bulkhead covered in non-conducting cement dividing the hold from the engine and boiler. The engine drove the single screw which gave a speed of 8 knots.
