This artist film was commissioned by the National Railway Museum and Science Museum Group to mark the 50th anniversary of the publication of the Beeching report 'The Reshaping of British Railways'. The artwork, as described by the artist, Esther Johnson, is ‘a cinematic and poetic audio-visual collage’, it is meant to connect with the strong emotions that the Beeching report, and the cutting of rural railway links, generated among many people.
