120x94mm hanging frame covered with black paper and edged with gold leaf. Single ring. Oval gilt, leaf patterned mat, pinchbeck frame. No glass. Lacquer back, cracked. Blue label on back reads 'Observe the address, The Adelphi Photographic Saloon 416, The Strand. Proprietor Professor Fort'. 68x92mm three quarter portrait of lady seated with arm restsing on table. Wearing striped dress with lace collar and cuffs. Gilt on brooch, dress butons, bracellets, ring and cover of book. Middle aged.
