Collodion Positive in Red Morocco Leather Case 'Bird & Grapes' (variant)

120x150mm red Morocco leather case embossed both sides with vase of grapes, birds and formal design. Two latches. Lined with patterned red plush (now much faded). Case edged inside with gold leaf design. Plain rectangular gilt mat with rounded cornners. Patterned pinchbeck frame. Lacquer back. 120x85mm plantation scene. Owner and his wife together (outdoors). with their aboriginal servants. Three women and eight men. Wife's bonnet and ribbon tinted.
