Electric vacuum cleaner plug, Hoover, flexible rubber. Two brass pins mounted on circular rubber enclosure.

This is an early example of an unbreakable plug designed by Hoover in about the 1930s. It was produced in rubber to make it durable and features art deco detailing. It was innovative in its day and the design has been patented.
