Polarised iron ammeter no. 532.
Rectangular box on wooden base which has two terminals. Top of the box is clear perspex, showing an ampere scale 0-60 both sides of centre-zero. A permanent magnet has a tubular coil between pole pieces and the moving magnet is pivoted in the middle of the coil, indicating via a pointer attached to the same spindle.
