Papers (notebook and manuscript) of Arthur Hoar. The notebook contains observations of LNER locomotives and services taken by Mr. Hoar on his journies into the City of London from March to August 1932. The manuscript (3 pages) describes a journey from London to Paris in April 1945, written at Dieppe Martime Station on 24 April. Mr. Hoar worked for the Bank of England and in 1945 was involved in the re-establishment of the banking system in Germany, hence his travel to Paris.
