Pedro Perete: Portrait of Alarcon (1665)', calotype photographed by Nicolaas Henneman 31 August 1847. Inscribed '19' in pencil. Plate 19 in 'Annals of the Artists of Spain', published by Sir William Sterling Maxwell (1818-1878) in 1848. Pedro Perete (died 1639) was a Spanish painter and engraver, son of the Flemish artist Piere Perret (c 1555 - 1625).
