Gold pair-cased repeating watch by Thomas Mudge and William Dutton, London, hallmarked 1791 – 2. Plain gold inner and outer cases. White enamel dial with gold beetle hands. Dust cap, signed ‘Tho. Mudge W. Dutton London'. Movement with duplex escapement and half-quarter repeating work, striking on blocks inside the case. Signed on the backplate ‘Tho. Mudge W. Dutton London 1432’. Presented to the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers by Charles Frodsham, 1869. Clockmakers' Museum No. 394
