Probably the most unusual school in the country - is the "School for Sant Claus" run by Mr Bill Batt at his home in Hainault Road, Leytonstone. Here - would be Father Christmases learn the rudiments of the annual job - so they can appear at Christmas bazaars - stores - children's parties etc., Mr Batt started the school when he got bored with the Civil Service.

Photo shows four pupils all ready in their 'uniform' get a briefing from Bill Batt - himself a very experienced Father Christmas. left to right George Lias; Charles Hodges; Johnny Keen and William Bennett.
