Photograph titled 'To be or not to be - Question decided'. Caption on back reads: Was Sir Laurence Olivier to be or not to be the best film actor for 1948. That was the question faced by the U.S. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood, California. Yesterday, March 24 they gave their answer. He was, and accordingly was awarded an Oscar for his performance in the film "Hamlet". Sir Laurence is seen at his home reading telegrams of congratulation today March 25.
