U-matic videotape ‘Goole Swing Bridge’

U-matic videotape titled ‘Goole Swing Bridge’ produced and supplied by Ryedale Audio Visual Enterprise Ltd, for the Friends of the National Railway Museum, edited in October 1986. The video is made of footage of the bridge filmed in July and August 1984 as well as still images, photographs taken in July 1985. Duration: 27 minutes.

This interview was made by the Friends of the National Railway Museum to document unique railway activities in the United Kingdon. The Interviewer, John Gilks, was a member of and the secretary of the Friends between 1992 and 1997.

In 2009 a modernisation project was put in place for Goole Swing Bridge. In 2020, further plans were made to modernise the swing bridge and to remove historic equipment.
