Original 8mm colour silent film. Various footage shot between 1964 and 1966 on railways in France and Spain, by C. K. Dunkley and edited together on 400 feet reel and stored in cardboard case. Film is mainly shot from lineside and from platforms, and documents steam and diesel-electric locomotives in Europe, primarily passenger trains, some freight. Reel begins with shot of a passing freight locomotive. Shot of rail staff checking tracks before departure of a steam locomotive. Wide shot of steam locomotive passing from across the water.
