One photograph titled ‘Smoking booth.’ Caption on the back reads: ‘Mill workers at the Golborne factory of William Tatton Ltd relax and enjoy a smoke in one of the cubicles which have been provided in the worksheds to save the blushes of heavy smokers. The ‘Smoking Zones’ are within sight of workers and looms (left) and are complete with ashtrays, fireproof floors and fire extinguishers.’
