While the streets of Llandudno, North Wales, were deserted due to the lockdowns in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, some of the wild Kashmiri goats grazing in Great Orme Country Park, descended from their usual spots. The goats often visit the area in spring when food is scarce or in bad weather. The news story went viral with videos appearing of the goats eating hedgerows and plants and roaming the empty streets.

Like many charities, local hospice, St David’s saw their fundraising activities severely curtailed due to the pandemic. With the popularity of the goats in mind, they designed the Great Orme Goat Tee. Launched in April 2020, the design reflects the location of the hospice grounds, on Llandudno's Abbey Road and The Beatles' iconic Abbey Road album. Over £120,000 was raised from over 8000 t-shirt sales worldwide. The funds were vital in keeping the hospice open for those that need them.
