Map, paper, Proposed Railway Harbour and asylum of refuge, presented to purchasers of the Liverpool Standard, 9 March 1847. Shows the proposals by the Chester & Holyhead Railway - possibly critically, as the legend mentions 500 ft of exposed quayage for public use as opposed to 2000 ft of well-sheltered quayage for the railway company. It also points out that the main harbour is exposed 'to the full set of the North East Gales' while the inner harbour is exclusive railway company property.
