‘Gnome’ 50 HP 7-cylinder rotary aero engine, with mechanically driven fuel pump; fuel throttle valve in gun-metal elbow; steel ‘sleeve’ with same internal diameter as fuel throttle valve; prop-shaft securing key, tapered along its length; pipe, 6 mm diameter, for fuel, angled, fitted with pipe-connector and reducer; fourteen of 10 x 60 mm hex bolts with washers and nuts; and six of 8 x 56 mm hex bolts with washers and nuts: all parts designed by brothers Louis Seguin and Laurent Seguin, and made by La Société des Moteurs Gnome, France, 1908. This ‘Gnome’ 50 HP 7-cylinder rotary aero engine was removed from a ‘Birdling’ monoplane.
