Lens panel clips to the baseboard. Provision for a tripod. Fitted with an F.10 Aplanat lens by Lancaster. Made of mahogany with brass fittings. Thornton Pickard Manufacturing Co. c.1885.

'Ruby' Folding Bellows Field or Stand Camera and Darkslides

The Lancaster international collapsible bellows tailboard field or stand camera. Rising front and cross movement, swing back and reversing back. Two brass rails on the back. Threaded rod used for focusing with cranking handle at rear. Tripod bush fitted on the base. Fitted with a Rapid Rectilinear F.8.5" f.1 lens called The Rectigraph by Lancaster with Lancaster patent diaphragm. Made of mahogany with brass fittings with leather bellows. With two double dark slides c.1885

Lancaster 1901 B B Instantograph camera, folding stand camera for 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 inch plates. Fitted with a Lancaster Patent landscape achromatic lens, iris diaphragm marked 1-8 f/10-30. Sliding rising front, rack and pinion focusing with double extension. Swing back, both movements. Lancaster patent swing out ground glass focusing screen. Manufactured by J Lancaster and Son, Birmingham. 1901. This was a special 'tropical' version of the Instantograph - the letters BB stand for Brass Bound.
