Plinth, marble, for Sir George Findlay bust, engraved ‘Sir George Findlay, Born on the 18th May, 1829, appointed Goods Manager of the London and North Western in 1864, in 1874 General Traffic Manager in 1880 his unfailing commonsense and intimate acquaintance with the affairs of the Company placed him in the position of General Manager. The ribbon of the Legion of Honour in France and in a Knighthood at home were the special rewards of this valuable life cut short in 1893’. Overall: 535mm x 330mm x 205mm.

Marble plinth for Sir George Findlay bust

Plinth, marble, for Henry Booth bust, engraved ‘Henry Booth, Foremost among the founders of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, he shared with Stephenson the prize for inventing the improved ‘Rocket’. The originator of uniformity of time and other improvements in railway working. A clear and forcible writer and one of the first Secretaries of the London & North Western Railway. B.B. 28.3.1869’. Overall: 535mm x 330mm x 205mm.

Marble plinth for Henry Booth bust

Plinth, with square shaped base and larger square shaped platform which contains a spiky plastic dome and a golden letter supported by two gold struts. Inside the plinth is a lightbulb and various wires. Part of the animation set constructed for film 'The Final Communique' by Gail Thomas.
