Made in Japan for Taylor-Merchant Corporation of New York. Folding card viewer with two lenses, opal plastic diffusers with slide reproduction of Byzantine Court, Crystal Palace, from earlier stereograph.

Nickel plated brass base carrying clipper arms with pivoted lens panel with eye shade and stereo card holder with spring clips. Eyeshade lined with silk and black velvet. Patented July 5th 1881. Made in the USA.
