This volume records information relating to the process of boiler testing with hydraulic pressure which took place at Beyer, Peacock on the boilers they were constructing. Details recorded are the progressive and stock number relating to the boiler, the pressure as tested to pounds per square inch, on what date the testing took place and who the witness to the test was. Up until 1924 the names of two witnesses are given and after this date only one name appears. Also included in this volume are entries for extra and stationary boilers and repair jobs. Other boilers tested are the company's own boilers, as opposed to those being constructed for orders.
