Working pressures of boilers

This series consists of two volumes that record boiler pressures for those boilers built by the company. Entries are made in the volumes in order of the stock numbers they relate to and the pressures are recorded in pounds per square inch.

It would appear that MS 0001/3/178 is a copy of MS 0001/3/179 although its entries begin later and cease earlier than the latter. Although provision has been made in the original volume (MS 0001/3/179) to make entries for the early years of the company no entries appear and when they do, are sporadic until about the late 1860s.
