The letter details some of the issues of his planned overland trip from Caracas to Bogata[sic] due to the rainy season and the poor state of the roads. He expects the trip to take 50 days. He also says he has spent his time surveying the area between the port of Laguayra and Caracas. He also states that he has to send his equipment by river due to the difficulties of the overland trip.
