Headboard, Royal Coat-of-Arms, Great Eastern Railway, carried by the train which conveyed the Duke and Duchess of York from Liverpool Street, London to Wolferton, for Sandringham, following their wedding in July 1893.
The headboard of a royal train, hung at the front of the locomotive, often featured the heraldry of the royal family or family member using it.
This headboard was used on the train conveying Prince George and Princess Victoria Mary to Sandringham following their wedding on the 6 July 1893.
