Model of Avro Lancaster aircraft, scale 1:12, sectioned

Sectional model of port fuselage, scale 1:12. The Lancaster was probably the most successful British heavy bomber of World War II. It first entered service in 1942, and was designed for night bombing without fighter escort. Lancasters carried a crew of seven and were capable of delivering a bomb-load of up to 22,000 lb. The aircraft could defend itself against enemy fighters with ten machine-guns. This sectional model of the aircraft shows its interior arrangement.
