Model of Samuel Franklin Cody's "Power-kite" or British Army Aeroplane No. 1, 1907/8, scale 1:20.
Model (scale 1:20). This aircraft, also known as British Army Aircraft No 1, made the first sustained powered flight in Britain at Farnborough, on 16th October 1908, covering a distance of 1390 feet. Cody started work on the 'Power Kite' in October 1907 and modified the aircraft until the first flight, which ended in a crash.
