Account book of John Beecroft & Co. for repair and maintenance work done on the Midland Railway's station buildings, locomotive and goods sheds etc. on the Settle & Carlise line. Includes costs for materials used, train travel, wages etc. Entries frequently include a list of names of the workmen. Arranged chronologically, with the name of the station at the start of the entry. Each job also appears to have a number.
