60x70mm red Morocco case with lift up lid and single latch. Red plain plush lining. Oval gilt mat. Unbound and no frame. 45x55mm daguerreotype three quarter portrait of young woman sitting, three quarter view. Gilt brooch. Slightly tarnished around edges. 'Gregory Oct 1845' engraved on back of plate.
