80x92mm red Morocco leather case embossed embossed with flower design. Gold leaf pattern around outside and inside of case. Fluted rectangular gilt mat. Pinchbeck frame. Companion case to 1990-5036/ DB17. Case design 'Morning Glory' (Rinhart). 70x53mm daguerreotype picture of long drive with white gates at end. Lined by tall hedge and trees. Tinted with sunset sky. Slight tarnishing along bottom edge. Case c. 1851.
