70x83mm waffled pinchbeck frame. Oval gilt, very decorative, top corners have circular pattern with female (Grecian) heads in profile facing inwards. Bottom corners circular pattern with stylised medieval castles, one with flag flying from tower, other showing scene with moat, bridge, tree and reeds. Flower pattern around all four circles. Raised glass cover. Daguerreotype oval half portrait of young woman seated full face. Wearing cameo brooch. Face tinted.
