Plain rectangular gilt mat with rounded corners. Leaf patterend pinchbeck frame. Thick glass cover. Plate marked Christofle with unusual mark in corner. Case c. 1851. 57x70mm daguerreotype full length portrait of lady and gentleman seated full face. Gentleman casually dressed wearing gaiters. Small pot of tinted flowers on table. Slight tinting all over. Could possibly be farmer and his wife. Middle aged.
