Daguerreotype In Broken Case
90x120mm bottom half of red embossed Morocco leather case. Gold leaf berry design around edges. Once had red plush lining. Plain rectangular gilt mat, patterend pinchbeck frame. Hallmark on plate 'A' Gaudin', French plate, used widely in USA. 70x95mm daguerreotype portrait of middle aged gentleman seated three quarter face. Tarnished around edges.
