180x240mm red Morocco leather case with two latches. Lined with plain red tafeta. Square gilt wooden frame attached to cover glass. Picture unbound. 160x205mm daguerreotype three quarter length portrait of middle aged gentleman in profile seated at table clasping book. Ornament on table; six Chinese ivory balls under glass cover. Slight tinting, gilt on gentleman's shirt buttons. Slight tarnished along bottom edge.
