Wristwatch by Ingersoll, USA, c.1908, case hallmarked for 1914. Silver case by the Dennison Watch Case Co, with winding button at 12 o’clock and lugs soldered onto the case at 12 and 6 o'clock to allow a strap to be attached to the back of the watch. Sewn on leather strap. Inside the case-back is a paper guarentee, which states. ’THIS MIDGET WATCH IS GUARANTEED TO KEEP GOOD TIME FOR ONE YEAR AND IF WITHOUT MISUSE IT FAILS TO DO SO, WILL BE REPAIRED BY US FREE OR EXCHANGED FOR A NEW ONE FOR 2/- (REPAIRS TAKE ABOUT 10 DAYS.) GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER FREE CLEANING OR MAINSPRINGS. WRAP CAREFULLY. ENCLOSE 3d FOR BOOKING. PACKING, RETURN POSTAGE, ETC PUT YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS IN PACKAGE.
