Pedometer in nickel-plated case, an “x” stamped on the bow. Blued steel hands. White enamel dial marked on the circumference to 1760 yards. Two subsidiary dials record 1-10 miles and 10 to 100 miles. Reset button within the oval bow. The movement nickel-plated and brass. The polished and plated weight stamped DEPOSE together with the letters HC for Henri Chatelain, France and a representation of a pedometer or map wheel. Early 20th cent. 46mm dia.
