Pedometer in nickel-plated, perhaps contrasting brass and nickel-plated case. Glazed back. Small compass fitted to the crown. Blued steel hands. White enamel dial recording 1760 yards on the outer dial up to ten miles on one subsidiary dial and up to 100 on the other. A third subsidiary, above a projecting wheel, acts as a map wheel. A projecting lever at the top left of the dial zeros the hands. The steel and brass movement has pace adjustment and light ‘snailing’ on the steel backplate. GERMANY is marked with four different coloured scales for four different pace lengths. Curved lines project the mileage figures from the outside scales to the inside scales.
