Pedometer in a nickel-plated case

Pedometer in a nickel-plated case, the zeroing button within the oval bow. Blued steel hands. White enamel dial recording 1760 yards on the outer ring, up to 10 miles on one subsidiary dial and up to 100 miles on the other. The brass and polished steel movement with pace adjustment. The polished weight stamped DEPOSE together with the letters HC for Henri Chatelain, France and a representation of a pedometer or map wheel. Early 20th cent. 45.5mm dia. Made by Henri Chatelain.
