One photograph of scaffolding erected for constructing a bridge. Caption on back reads: 'This fantastic mesh of scaffolding has been erected as one of the first stages in the construction of a bridge that is to span the Wentbridge Valley and by-pass the village of Wentbridge North of Doncaster, Yorkshire. If each tube were placed end to end, the scaffolding would stretch for 18 1/2 miles. The bridge, a pre-stressed concrete structure, due to be completed sometime this year, will be the largest of its type in Europe. It is being built by the Taylor-Woodrow construction company as part of the improvements to the A1, the main London-Edinburgh Road'.
