Improved Pocket Kosy camera

Collapsing camera for 1 1/2 x 2 inch plates. Fitted with a simple lens of fixed aperture. Small Instantograph type rotary shutter. Conical body of six cylindrical sections, erected by internal coil spring ( like the Lancaster watch camera). Collapses into small morocco covered box. Ground glass focusing screen. J Lancaster and son c.1895.

Rouch instantaneous doublet lens No 7023 with 4 Waterhouse stops, Thornton Pickard Roller Blind shutter built in behind lens 15/25/40/60/80, released by pneumatic tube (perished). Two reflecting finders with covers. Sliding lens cover, bag type plate changer built in with 12 metal plate holders. Sliding body focusing. W.W. rouch. 1888.

Lens missing, guillotine shutter with tension adjusting knob, plate carried in metal holder then pushed from upper compartment into focal plane and then into the lower compartment by sliding rod. Number on plate holder back visible through red window. No 1742. Marion & Co, 1934. Invented by Dr Rudolf Krugener.
