Original 8mm colour footage, silent, filmed around 1968-1980, possibly in the Port of Tyne, North Shields, Tyne and Wear, England. 25 feet reel. Footage content: large ship in port. Large dockside crane and other port infrastructures filmed from a ship. Another ship passing. Ship passing through a lock. Group of people standing at the bow of the ship, river ferry passing. Several port buildings filmed from ship heading through the breakwater. Shot over the stern of the ship, continuing journey. Small boat coming along side ship. Ship in heavy seas.

This film is part of a collection of 150 8mm films made by John Arnott-Brown, railway enthusiast and amateur filmmaker. John Arnott-Brown filmed the railways in the United Kingdom, mostly steam, between 1960 and 1982. A few films include footage of railways abroad, especially Europe (e.g. Portugal, Spain). The collection includes 5 larger 400 feet reels of edited footage, whilst the rest of the collection is made of small 50 feet reels of unedited footage.
