Photograph album with black lacquer covers. Front cover is ornamented with large figure of an eagle in mother of pearl, on branch made of none with mother of pearl flowers and two mother of pearl small beads. All pages and cover interiors are covered with hand painted silk showing Japanese scenery and flowers.

Maroon leather covered photograph album, 20 x 24cm with brass clasp. With 10 double pages for cabinet photographs and 6 double pages for CDV photographs, (four to a page). Original pictures have now been removed.

Glazed oval apertures for a cabinet picture and two carte de visite. 13 pages, cut for cabinet photographs, 2 for cartes and 1 for small cartes. Some pages are printed with a flower motif in colour. Extension at the top of the back cover carries a clock in a brass mount. 'Stopper' covering the back of the movement marked 'By Royal Letters Patent' with the royal arms. Supporting foot missing and repaired.

Inside cover is inscribed: Souvenir de Fritz et Hetig Schulze Elbing, le 18 Janvier 1897. With 14 pages for cabinet pictures and 18 for cdvs, with pictures (extracted) by photographers in Locle, Geneva, Yverdonm Basle, Chaux des fonds, Neuchatel. Album does not now contain any photographs.

Front has gold rectangular inset with two women in carved ivory round cooking pot (which is missing). Back has vase of flowers design in the lacquer. Contains twelve silk leaves with hand painted scenes. Pages for both cabinet and carte de visite photographs. Empty - album does not contain any photographs.

Album of 45 black & white photographs titled "Victoria Station - Photographs of Premises let to separate tenants numbered to correspond with the Schedule and Plan of such premises." Photographs taken by the Valuation Office for the preparation of the draft valuation roll for the Southern Railway, circa 1936. The photographs show shops, kiosks, newsstands, bus stops, display cases, taxi ranks, advertisments etc. within and adjoining Victoria Station.
