EMI CPS Emitron camera head, 1950. A later version of the CPS Emitron, this object dates from 1950. It has a significantly different design of casing and lens turret from the first run production models delivered to the BBC in 1948. The first post-war British television camera had been these CPS Emitrons, first used by the BBC to televise the 1948 London Olympic Games.
