This set of notations consists of two sheets with three enclosures which were numbered Sheet 1 and Sheet 2 by Babbage and for which separate records have been created, namely BAB F/105/1 and BAB F/105/2.
The three enclosures, which relate to both Sheets 1 and 2 for Notation F/105, are grouped together in a set consisting of one completed notation, a folded sheet, described as 'Position of the verticals for Notation 105' with an explanatory note stating 'belongs to 105'. This sheet is undated, but a date of July to August 1838 can be inferred from the context of the other sheets. Dimensions of sheet folded out 48 cm x 68 cm. Numbered as F.105/[1] by Bromley.
Two loose single sheets, in pencil, containing notes explaining that the sheets have been copied and compared and copied and collated, appear to be drafts of the position of the verticals and are enclosed within the folded sheet. The sheets were numbered F.105/[2] and F.105/[3] respectively, by Bromley. Sheet 2 is dated 3 August 1838 and Sheet 3 is undated, but a date of 1838 can be inferred from the context of the other sheets. Dimensions of both sheets 34 cm x 48 cm.
