This set of notations consists of four sheets that were numbered consecutively as Sheet 1 - 4 by Babbage, plus one related sheet that appears to apply to the whole set of notations, with a loose enclosure and one accompanying draft and a loose enclosure that relates to Sheet 4.

The related sheet, described as 'List of motions', dated 25 April 1844, was originally numbered as 289x by Babbage and F.289x by Bromley with dimensions of 53 cm x 66 cm. The accompanying loose enclosure is an untitled single sheet of calculations, numbered F.289x[1] by Bromley, with dimensions of 33 cm x 53 cm.
