This set of notations consists of seven sheets in draft form, in pencil. They are arranged in booklet form with pages numbered consecutively as F.368 to F.368[6] by Bromley. The sheets were numbered 368 by Babbage.
The notation includes three related sheets described as 'Genealogy of variations of multiplication', dated 21 and 23 September 1846 respectively, originally numbered 368 Sheet 1 to Sheet 3 by Babbage and F.368x/1 to F.368x/3 by Bromley.
