The book is titled - 'Memoirs of the Kodaikanal Observatory vol. I part II Results of Prominence Observations' by John Evershed and Mary Acworth Evershed, 1917. The two glass plates are postitives one of eggs in a birds nest and the other of John Evershed next to a mail box and a tent.
